![]() It’s that the actual execution of that comeback was bad. There are a couple of misconceptions their A&R team and maybe Enhypen themselves seem to have had about the response to Manifesto based on interviews I’ve seen-it’s not that people don’t think Enhypen can do different concepts. It seems like with Manifesto they wanted to try something different, then were disappointed that people didn’t like it (even though they busted sales records, affirming that they have a huge fanbase), so they decided to return to something really safe and basic with this. Enhypen used to be poised to enter my ult list after their first four releases (I didn’t love blessed-cursed but it was fine and Polaroid Love made up for it) but then Manifesto happened and ever since then it seems like they’ve been totally lost in terms of group and musical identity. The bsides were all improvements over Manifesto’s bsides as well, with Bills being a standout. I think this is actually a popular opinion but it’s negative so I’m saying it here to avoid the Engenes jumping on me because that’s how kpop worksīasically, I’m disappointed, but this is an improvement over Pass the Mic, so at least there’s that. ![]() I had a weird day yesterday and for half of it, my soundtrack was Dark Blood, so my opinion flip flopped a couple times and I’m not sure if this is an unpopular opinion yet but we’ll see. I feel like if it takes another 10 months to release their next comeback, people will really lose interest in them they over-hyped the comebacks so much with spoilers that I feel that the actual comeback was so anti-climatic. I also saw some unboxing videos and the albums look SO LOW BUDGET ITS NOT EVEN WORTH SO MUCH MONEY OMG. The rest of the songs don't stand out so much n I cant remember the melody. the worst part is that they used the prechorus as the tiktok challenges and that super annoys me. the "oh my oh my god part" was so good!! but then its always followed by the terrible ear-bleed pre-chorus. I honestly really don't like the pre-chorus and the fact that they over-repeat "bite me" in like almost every line, its jst makes the song lose its spark. I pre-ordered the full sent n spent more than a hundred USD, honestly, I kinda regret it, the title track isn't even that good. No hate on any members- just my general opinion: This shouldn't be made for minors tho and it's unfortunate that this company is going to blatantly ignore it. The part where the chair is off the ground and the caskets were floating was ok, so visually, it's ok. Like you can't make a mature song and expect teenagers to be serious about it like that feels very weird. I listen to ENHYPEN occasionally and I got to Fever and learned they were all minors. There's nothing impressive happening in that song that makes it stand out to me for the group. ![]() I find bite me to be catchy maybe because they're literally repeating the same line over and over and over again. It's quite unfortunate this is the track the company wants to take them because they're obviously talented individuals but you can only stretch the vampire theme for so long until it loses its creativity. You scroll through most of those YouTube comments about Bite Me and it's all talking about how hot the choreography is, but they forget there is a literal minor there. Honestly, it's nice to see that I'm not the only one thinking the same thing.
